Lipase Demand in China is Estimated to be Prosperous

Compared with developed countries, the production development of China's lipase started later, and its output was not stable and most of lipase was imported before 2003 due to few producers at that time. With more and more producers starting production after 2003, the production situation turns better and the market develops relatively fast. From 2004 to 2010, China’s lipase output increased from 1,000 tonnes to about 2,500 tonnes with a CAGR of 16.2%.

In 2010, there are eight active lipase producers in China, such as Haining Jinchao Industrial Co., Ltd. and Tianjin Lihua Enzyme Preparation Technology Co., Ltd., etc.

In China, lipase is widely used in papermaking, backed food and other fields. The largest application field is papermaking, with consumption accounting for about 80% of the product's total consumption in 2009. The entire demand is not large but will be prosperous as estimated.

All the above findings are from CCM International’s report of Production and Market of Lipase in China, newly-released in November, 2011. If you are interested in this report, please feel free to contact us at econtact@cnchemicals.com.
