Survey of Mancozeb in China Has Come Out

Survey of Mancozeb in China was released by CCM recently, presenting penetrating insights into China’s changing mancozeb market. Mancozeb, one of ethylene-bis-dithiocarbamate (EBDC) fungicides, is widely used on food/feed crops, including fruit trees, vegetable crops, field crops, etc. Owing to the high efficiency and low toxicity, mancozeb shares a big pie in the domestic fungicide market. In 2010, mancozeb takes up 15.12% in fungicide, up 2.37% compared with that in 2009.

The output of mancozeb technical (converted to 85% TC) in 2010 is 28,735 tonnes, while the output of mancozeb formulations (converted to 80% WP) is 23,500 tonnes, up 8.70% compared with that in 2009.

In China, the consumption peak season of mancozeb is from Feb. to May, and  its price amounts to USD3,900/t during this period, the highest one in 2010. In July 2011, the price of mancozeb technical is USD3,786/t.
