Huge Potential in China’s Ethanolamine Market

China’s ethanolamine industry has changed much in the past three years, especially in 2011. As the second largest producer and consumer of ethanolamine in the world, China will play a more important role in global market.

Attracted by growing demand in domestic market, more enterprises are engaged in the production of ethanolamine in China. At the end of 2011, there are 22 active ethanolamine producers. Both capacity and output of ethanolamine witness high growth rate from 2007 to 2011. Among these active producers, who boosted the fast growth of ethanolamine production in the past five years? And why do foreign enterprises start to newly build plant in China? And whether some new projects or capacity expansion are planned in China by the end of 2011?

Since the domestic supply of ethanolamine can’t meet the demand in China, besides the quality of domestic products fails in the requirement of some downstream products, such as glyphosate and taurine, a large quantity of ethanolamine is imported annually to China before 2011. With the commissioning of large ethanolamine production lines at the end of 2010 and in 2011, the import volume of ethanolamine in China has dropped in 2011. What is the situation of ethanolamine import in the past years, and how about the detailed import situation of ethanolamine in 2011?

In China, ethanolamine is mainly used in the production of cement grinding aid, agrochemicals, organic synthesis, surfactant, polyurethane, etc. In the past years, driven by cement grinding aid and organic synthesis, the ethanolamine consumption grows rapidly in China. With the development of each downstream industry, the consumption pattern of ethanolamine is changing. What changes have happened for ethanolamine consumption pattern in China? How about the detailed consumption situation of ethanolamine including each ethanolamine product in each downstream industry in China in 2011?

CCM International’s 4th Edition Report of Production and Market of Ethanolamine in China will give the answers to the above questions and show the truth to penetrate into China’s ethanolamine market. Besides, other points in China's ethanolamine industry are covered:
- Production technology from major suppliers
- Raw material supply situation
- Price change of ethanolamine in 2007-2011
- Involvement and achievement of multinational corporations
- Competitive landscape in ethanolamine industry
- Forecast on supply and demand to 2020 and the trend of major downstream industries
- Introduction to key active ethanolamine producers

China’s L-arginine Industry Enjoys Rapid Development

From 2009 to now, L-arginine industry in China enjoys a rapid development, posting a CAGR exceeding 15% in output. In 2011, capacity of L-arginine increased to about 6,500t/a. Many production lines for L-arginine production adopting biological fermentation method have appeared along with the development of the technology, even though it's still no so advanced in China compared with that in developed countries. Its increasing popularity has become a trend in China's L-arginine production. In addition, L-arginine applied in injection production in China depends heavily on import because domestic producers' production technology can't cater for the demand. Then how is the development of production technology of L-arginine in China at present?

The demand for L-arginine is rising in China year by year, with about 18% CAGR during 2006 and 2011. The product is used in medicine industry, health care industry, food industry, cosmetics industry, etc. Among these consumption fields, more than 60% L-arginine is consumed in the production of medicines and health care products. With people's living standard improving, more attention will be paid to health care. Then what will the consumption of L-arginine be shaped in different fields?

Since 2011, the price of L-arginine has been running high. What's the supply and demand of it in China? And what's the price trend with supply and demand changing? You may find all answers in CCM International’s latest report of Production and Market of L-Arginine in China, published in March, 2012.

To show the actual supply and demand of L-arginine in China and dig out investment opportunities, CCM International's report mainly focuses on the following aspects:
- Current production situation of L-arginine in China (capacity, output and key players)
- Supply of major raw materials of L-arginine in China
- Production technology of L-arginine in China
- Analysis of L-arginine price in China (2009-2012)
- Consumption pattern of L-arginine in China (2011)
- Drivers and barriers to L-arginine industry in China
- Forecast on the supply and demand of L-arginine in China (2012-2016)

CCM International Successfully Held Polycarbonate Webinar

With the topic of Survey of Polycarbonate Market in China, the webinar focuses on the insightful analysis of China’s polycarbonate market from aspects of consumption, supply and prospect.

Emma, the speaker of this webinar, shared the information of consumption pattern and development of polycarbonate's major downstream industries. PC consumption in China is mainly distributed to six end uses, and it is concentrated on the top three end use segments, including electronic & electrical components, automotive components and construction materials.

For the supply of polycarbonate, “I mainly introduced the development of domestic producers and import situation of polycarbonate in China during the webinar.” Emma said, “Limited by the laggard technology, development of domestic polycarbonate producers is pretty rough. Every year, a large quantity of polycarbonate is imported to China.”

Being optimistic to China's booming demand for polycarbonate in the future, Emma believes that overseas companies will enlarge their capacity of polycarbonate or newly build polycarbonate production lines in China to meet the market.

“All findings and data of this webinar are from CCM International’s latest polycarbonate report of Survey of polycarbonate market in China. Readers can discover more in this report if they want to dig out the potential business opportunities in China.”  Emma also pointed out.

CCM International will keep holding these kinds of industrial webinars periodically. For more information about our Free Webinar, please feel free to contact us at econtact@cnchemicals.com.

Powder Wood Activated Carbon PWACP is Getting Popular

Powder wood activated carbon adopting phosphoric acid activation method (PWACP) is the main type of wood activated carbon in China. PWACP is getting popular among many end users. It is estimated that demand of PWACP would keep growing in the coming five years.

China's wood activated carbon has entered a fast development period since the 1980s. Up to June 2011, the capacity of wood activated has reached about 150,000t/a and capacity of PWACP in China is about 78,000t/a. In China, more than 90% capacity of wood activated carbon is concentrated in Fujian, Jiangxi, Zhejiang and Jiangsu Provinces.

There is a promising market for PWACP in China. More new production lines of PWACP will be launched in the coming five years (2011-2015). It is expected that the capacity and output of PWACP in China would increase accordingly.

In China, the main consumption fields of PWACP in China include sugar industry, fermentation industry, soft drinks and chemical industry. Sugar industry, accounting for about 55% of the total PWACP consumption in 2010, is the largest consumption field. And the next is fermentation industry which accounts for about 31% of the total consumption. In the coming five years, the demand for PWACP would keep an uptrend in China. The demand from all fields will increase sharply, especially that from sugar industry and fermentation industry.

All the above findings are from CCM’s report of China Market Survey of Powder Wood Activated Carbon, which presents you an in-depth analysis about China’s PWACP market from aspects of capacity, consumption, supply and demand forecast, etc.
