In
the first half of 2013, China's export volume of chlorothalonil technical and
formulations dropped by 22.50% compared with that in H1 2012 to about 7,786
tonnes, according to the data from the General Administration of Customs of the
People's Republic of China (China Customs) and Fungicides China News issued by CCM in September.
Specifically,
the export volume of chlorothalonil technical, including 96% TC, 97% TC and 98%
TC, decreased to about 6,057 tonnes in H1 2013, down by 22.92% year on year. In
the first six months of 2013 China exported about 1,729 tonnes of chlorothalonil
formulations, including 40% SC, 72% SC and 75% WP, down by 20.99% year on year.
Among
three technical specifications, 97% chlorothalonil TC ranked the
first place by export volume, amounting to 4,213 tonnes in H1 2013, accounting
for 69.55% of the total for chlorothalonil technical, followed by 98% TC (1,814
tonnes). As to 96% chlorothalonil TC, its export volume was the least, only
about 30 tonnes (it was exported in Feb. and March 2013, and its export volume
was zero in the rest of the months of H1 2013).
Chorothalonil 72% SC was the
largest export specification of chlorothalonil formulations by export volume in
H1 2103, totaling 880 tonnes, exceeding 50% of the total for cholorothalonil
formulations. Chlorothalonil 75% WP ranked the second place by export volume,
reaching 550 tonnes, accounting for 31.81%; the export volume of chlorothalonil
40% SC was the least in H1 2013, about 298 tonnes.
Among
the two major cholorothalonil technical specifications (97% and 98%), their
average export prices remained stable in the first half of 2013. Specifically,
the average export price of 97%
chlorothalonil TC was between USD3.8/kg and USD4.0/kg from Jan. to June 2013
and that of 98% chlorothalonil TC floated between USD4.5/kg and USD4.9/kg in
the first five months of this year, only decreasing to about USD4.3/kg in June
2013.
