In the first eight
months of 2013, China's prices of the main amide herbicides such as acetochlor,
metolachlor, butachlor and pretilachlor have been stable with no significant
fluctuations.
Gross margin of pesticide intermediates industry slips
in H1 2013
In the first half
of 2013, China's pesticide intermediates industry was still suffering from
falling profits. This is illustrated by the declining gross margins of the four
leading pesticide intermediate manufacturers in China: ABA Chem, Zhejiang
Yongtai, Lianhe Technology and Jiangsu JJJ.

China's fomesafen exports soars in H1 2013
China's fomesafen
exports continued to surge in the first half of this year. During this period,
the export volumes of fomesafen technical increased by 30.28% year-on-year.
Fomesafen 250g/L SL was the most exported specification of fomesafen
formulation, and the export volume of this product witnessed a growth of
307.52% year-on-year.
Market demand for ametryn sees a growth in China
Recently, the
market demand for ametryn has witnessed decent growth in China. This is
indicated by two factors: the increasing registration certifications quantity
of ametryn and the increasing output of ametryn in China.
Noposion to cooperate with Makhteshim Agan
On Aug. 28, 2013,
Noposion disclosed that it is planning to cooperate with Makhteshim Agan to
further develop its AK business. And Noposion announced that it has terminated
the assets reorganization on Aug. 29, 2013.
China's dicamba price maintains an uptrend
In the first eight
months of 2013, the price in China of dicamba continued to increase. The
ex-works price of 98% dicamba technical witnessed a growth of 10.79% in Aug.
2013 compared with that in Jan. 2013.

In the first eight
months of 2013, clodinafop-propargyl was keenly registered by domestic
agrochemical enterprises. 25 registration certifications of
clodinafop-propargyl were approved in China during this period, accounting for
62.5% of the total registration quantity as of the end of August 2013.

In H1 2013, Lier
Chemical's net profit increased by 54.82% year-on-year to USD11.24 million. Its
total revenue witnessed a year-on-year growth of 26.13%, reaching USD123.77
million.

Export price of China's paraquat continues to
increase in Jan.-May 2013
In the first five
months of 2013, China's export prices of paraquat technical and formulations
continued to increase. The export volume of paraquat formulations witnessed a
year-on-year growth of 49.16%. The export volume of paraquat technical
witnessed a slight decline of 3.54% year-on-year.
Huapont-Nutrichem's
pesticide business performs well in H1 2013
Huapont-Nutrichem's
pesticide revenue witnessed a significant growth in H1 2013, reaching
approximately USD270.60 million, up 20.60% year on year. On the whole, in H1
2013, the company's total revenue increased by 19.63% but its net profit went
down 30.27% year on year.
