promoted in China. An increasing number of herbicide enterprises have

Jiangsu Agrochem Laboratory has successfully acquired the
formal registration certification of 91% iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium technical in
China in late Nov. 2013. It is the first domestic company to obtain a
registration for iodosulfuron-methyl-sodium technical in China.
Lianyungang Jindun to construct
3,000t/a herbicide production lines in China
Lianyungang Jindun is planning to construct several new
herbicide production lines with a total capacity of 3,000t/a. This include
production lines for 1,500t/a oxadiazon technical, 1,000t/a isoproturon
technical and 500t/a oxadiargyl technical.

In the first three quarters of 2013, China's export volume of
herbicides witnessed a year-on-year growth of 30.91%. The value of the exports
also increased, by 46.83% year-on-year.

In China, the innovation in herbicides is currently focused
on generic formulations rather than the R&D of new active ingredients.
However, more and more Chinese agrochemical players are doing their best to
change this situation.
MOFCOM imposes anti-dumping duties
on pyridine from India and Japan
On Nov. 20, 2013, the MOFCOM made the final decision to
impose anti-dumping duties on pyridine originating from India and Japan for 5
years, which comes into effect from Nov. 21, 2013.
Export volume of China's
nicosulfuron soars 126.05% YoY, Jan.-Aug. 2013
In Jan.-Aug. 2013, the total export volume of nicosulfuron
technical and formulations in China reached 2,762 tonnes , with a year-on-year
increase of 126.05%, according to data from the China Customs and CCM. Also,
the average export prices of nocosulfuron technical and formulations both
recorded year-on-year growth during this period.
Anhui Kelihua obtains 96% oxadiargyl
TC registration in China
On Nov. 8,
2013, Anhui Kelihua gained a formal registration certification for 96%
oxadiargyl technical from the ICAMA. Anhui Kelihua is the first domestic
company to obtain a registration for oxadiargyl technical in China.
